During MSN conversation if I can recall with my ex-colleague (coldfusion was the company’s primary programming language and he thinks that coldfusion is difficult to master fully)
KN2: What are you working now?
EA: Still working as coldfusion programmer lah.
KN2: Still doing coldfusion? It’s very outdated!
EA: Really but we got about 10 coldfusion programmers in my company.
KN2: Oh really, i see
EA: Is coldfusion really outdated????
After that, I thought how come? Is it true? That was about few weeks ago. I was dabbling whether to switch to other languages but CFML is the best language I have ever done. I have done ASP, JSP and PHP and even VB but feel that CFML beats them somehow. Perhaps I am more familiar with CFML till now. I am also surprised to hear that Coldfusion is one of the top 10 skills on the way to the extiniction (mean dying!!!) Cannot be! I have seen it on adobe.com and it has been promoting on CF8 and full of praise about it. I hope Coldfusion will stand out to be one of the most popular languages on the technology news so that my ex-colleague who is currently doing VB/ASP would not think why I am still flogging with old dying skill.
