I was exploring different frameworks for Coldfusion till my boss came and tell me to explore Flex Builder. It is something like CFStudio and Dreamweaver, html / code editor but Flex Builder is supposed to be more powerful. Just installed trial given by my boss and I can start exploring if it is feasible for the company to buy for all the pcs and whether the other programmers can easily use the Flex Builder or not! Let’s go!

FlexBuilder is really nice – if you want to build Flex applications! If you’re just trying to write CF, you probably only need Eclipse (the base Java IDE that FlexBuilder is built upon) and CFEclipse (www.cfeclipse.org), both free and open source. FlexBuilder’s power is in its ability to compile Flex applications, and design Flex applications visually. If you’d like to learn more about Flex, an XML-based framework for Flash designed for rich internet applications, there is lots of info on Adobe’s website.
Hi Rachel
My company seems not keen to take up flex and air yet… they are still into coldfusion and ajax…
Hi Rachel, have been busy lately working on SPRY and other stuff. Haven’t touched Flex hee.. From your comment, are you also into CF?
